On November 9^th, 2018 Northeast Asian Studies College, Jilin University and Asiatic Research Institute of Korea University jointly held the academic symposium of Relations between China and Korean Peninsula under the New Situation. The symposium was co-organized by Center for Northeast Asian Studies, Jilin University and Institute of Korean Peninsula, Jilin University and Association for International Friendly Contact Jilin Office. Professor Yu Xiao, Dean, Northeast Asian Studies College, Professor Lee Jong Wha, Director of Asiatic Research Institute, and Mr. Xiang Yunzhao, Vice Chairman of Association for International Friendly Contact Jilin Office delivered opening speeches.

    Over 30 scholars from Korea University, Korea National Defense University, Kyungnam University, Jilin University, Shandong University, China Association for International Friendly Contact, Association for International Friendly Contact Jilin Office attended the symposium. The scholars exchanged in-depth views on the topics of the status of the Korean Peninsula, the cooperation of Northeast Asia, etc. The symposium was the 5^th annual meeting co-hosted by Northeast Asian Studies College and Asiatic Research Institute since the two parties signed the agreement. Both sides spoke highly of the effective and meaningful cooperation and expressed the willing to promote and develop this relationship deeper in the future.
